Kingston Maurward’s talented Floristry students showcased their floral skills with a wedding photo shoot.
As part of the College’s continued quest to find inspiring ways to engage students and prepare them for work, the shoot was masterminded by floristry course Manager Tracey Nadin and designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate skills learned during the course.
The Level 3 students were asked to design and create bridal bouquets, accessories and body adornments using a selection of materials and took to the Estate’s beautiful gardens for the perfect backdrop.
They created bespoke and on-trend designs showing the depth of the knowledge gained, whilst also attaining vital experience in commercial speed which is required for any wedding or event.
To support this project the students had a professional entourage. Tracey Nadin said: “Students really enjoyed the opportunity of directing the style of the images, working with professionals and understanding the technical skills required for such a project. All the images produced will go forward to a final portfolio of their work.”
